Masterclass: Shakespeare
June 25th. (With possible extension to June 26th)

This Masterclass will be led by KCT’s very own Artistic Director, Steve Sherman. In preparation for our Fall production of Romeo and Juliet, KCT is offering this course to expose students to the dynamic nature of Shakespearean text. Throughout the day, students will get a crash course in all things Shakespeare. The goal is to understand, connect to, and deliver Shakespearean text so that the audience understands it and is captivated by it. We will strive to use the text to connect to the character and their given circumstances instead of attaching to generic emotion.
Before the course, students will be provided with material they will need to memorize and prepare for presentation. We are limiting the class to twelve students. Due to the demands of the work, students younger than age twelve will not be eligible to enroll.
