Knoxville Children’s Theatre (KCT) respects your privacy. This privacy statement discloses the privacy practices for www.knoxvillechildrenstheatre.com. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to make you aware of how Knoxville Children’s Theatre collects, manages, protects, uses, and/or shares information and what choices are available to you regarding the collection, use and distribution of your personal information. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Knoxville Children’s Theatre does not own or control, or to people that KCT does not employ or manage. What is “Personal Information”? How is it collected and used?

“Personal Information” describes information that can be associated with a specific user and used to identify that person, such as your name, email address, birthday, gender, location information, payment information, etc. Personal Information may be submitted by you in your interaction with the KCT website. Other information, that is not personally identifiable, may be collected automatically by visiting and/or using our website through cookies.

KCT is the sole owner of the information collected on this site.  We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.  KCT collects information from our users at several different points in our site.

 

What information does Knoxville Children’s Theatre Collect?

We may collect certain information about your interactions with us and information related to you and your use of our website, including but not limited to, Personal Information, your online activity, social media connections, as well as Internet Protocol addresses, device types, unique device data, such as device identifiers, and operating systems.

Personal Information remains anonymous unless you explicitly identify yourself to us by creating and using an account with Knoxville Children’s Theatre and/or otherwise consenting to the sharing of information with us. Registration for Email Communications

In order to join the Knoxville Children’s Theatre’s email list, you may do so by contacting [email protected].  During online class registration and ticket purchases, you are required to give your contact information (such as name and email address).  This information is used to contact you about the services on our site for which you have expressed interest.

 

Ticket Ordering, Academy Registration and Online Donations

We request additional information from you on our order/donation forms.  Here you must provide contact information (such as phone, email, and billing address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date).  This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your request.  If we have difficulty processing a request, contact information is used to get in touch with you.

 

Participant families are required to give additional information for a child which will be registered for a given class, camp or production. Information that is gathered might include the child’s name, gender, age, school grade and shirt size. This information is used for class credential verification and placement. Log Files

We use IP [Internet Provider] addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.  IP addresses are not linked to personally-identifiable information.

 

Payment and Billing Information

We use a credit card processing company to bill users for donations, class registrations, and ticket purchases. This company does not retain, share, store or use personally-identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

 

Does KCT use “Cookies” to collect information?

Yes, when you view our website, we may store some data on your computer in the form of a “cookie” to automatically recognize your device the next time you visit. Cookies allow us to improve your browsing experience in many ways.

How does Knoxville Children’s Theatre protect your personal information?

This website takes every precaution to protect our patrons’ information. When patrons submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line.

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our accountant) are granted access to personally identifiable information.
