KCT was named runner-up to Clarence Brown Theatre in "Metro Pulse's" Best of Knoxville-Best Theatre Group in 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, and 2008.

In 2014, KCT won East Tennessee PBS's "Be More Award." KCT was selected as 1 of 12 leaders that contribute to the overall well-being of the East Tennessee community through education, the arts, health services, or other forms of charitable giving or community involvement.
