Are you prone to wiggling? Are you a bright personality but for some reason you always get bored in class? Are you the first person to make your family giggle when you’re supposed to be serious? Well… maybe you’re dealing with the complex gift of comedy!
The study of comedy helps us think outside of the box. In fact, comedy is a human impulse of pushing the boundaries of the box and seeing what’s on the other side. Through stories, games, and movement, we’ll explore the basics of comedy, improv, and clown to see how these tools can serve acting students on and off the stage. The goals are to explore traditions like masks, physical comedy, and song. By the end of the class, we’ll put our own personal flair on Comedy by creating original material together as an ensemble.
