{"id":988,"date":"2017-08-18T15:50:34","date_gmt":"2017-08-18T15:50:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/knoxvillechildrenstheatre.com\/?post_type=tc_events&#038;p=988"},"modified":"2018-09-14T16:02:42","modified_gmt":"2018-09-14T16:02:42","slug":"pride-and-prejudice","status":"publish","type":"tc_events","link":"https:\/\/knoxvillechildrenstheatre.com\/tc-events\/pride-and-prejudice\/","title":{"rendered":"Pride And Prejudice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Knoxville Children\u2019s Theatre, in partnership with The Ritchie Company, will present 14 live performances of Jane Austen\u2019s classic romantic comedy \u201cPride And Prejudice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The live stage play will be performed August 18 through September 3:<br \/>\nFri., Aug. 18 at 7 PM, Sat., Aug. 19 at 1 PM &amp; 5 PM, Sun., Aug. 19 at 3 PM<br \/>\nThurs., Aug. 24 at 7 PM, Fri., Aug. 25 at 7 PM, Sat., Aug. 26 at 1 PM &amp; 5 PM, Sun., Aug. 19 at 3 PM,<br \/>\nThurs., Aug. 31 at 7 PM, Fri., Sept. 1 at 7 PM, Sat., Sept. 2 at 1 PM &amp; 5 PM, Sun., Sept. 3 at 3 PM.<\/p>\n<p>The prospects of the five unmarried Bennet sisters are looking up when Mr. Bingley, a wealthy young bachelor moves into the neighborhood.\u00a0 Young Jane Bennet catches his eye, but her sister Elizabeth clashes with his best friend, Mr. Darcy.\u00a0 Both sisters will have to dodge a wife-hunting Reverend, a soldier with elopement and revenge on his mind, and a Lady who disapproves of them all.\u00a0 Jane Austen\u2019s timeless novel is a delightful coming-of-age comedy for all generations.<\/p>\n<p>The play is performed by 18 talented young actors, from ages 12 to 18.\u00a0 Charlotte Stark plays the unconventional Elizabeth Bennet, and Noah Seaman plays her sparring partner, Mr. Darcy.\u00a0 Levi Vinsant and Lily Kate Corley will play Mr. and Mrs. Bennet.\u00a0 Reece Brown, Lauren Dieterich, Anna Kate Stanley, and Maria Kauffman play the Bennets\u2019 other daughters.<\/p>\n<p>Four actors are making their KCT debuts: Lauren Dieterich, Chloe Freeman, Tori Randall, and Amy van der Merwe.\u00a0 The rest of the cast includes Tarrin Chambers, Tripp Keeton, Anna Keim, Eric Magee, Quintin Rhodes, Boone Sommers, and Emma Stark.<\/p>\n<p>West High senior Clare Carter directs the production. Central High student Jacob Sousley is the stage manager.\u00a0 The show\u2019s designers are all high-school students: Derrick Washington, Jr., Quintin Rhodes, and Catherine Blevins.\u00a0 KCT is East Tennessee\u2019s leading producer of plays for children and families.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":989,"template":"","event_category":[21],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.5 -
