Harvard\u2019s beloved blonde takes the stage by glittery pink storm!\u00a0 \u201cLegally Blonde:The Musical, Jr.\u201d follows Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.<\/p>\n
When Elle\u2019s high school boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she\u2019s not \u201cserious\u201d enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands.\u00a0 As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all.<\/p>\n
Songs from the junior version include \u201cSerious,\u201d \u201cBend And Snap,\u201d \u201cDaughter of Delta Nu,\u201d \u201cChip On My Shoulder,\u201d \u201cOmigod You Guys,\u201d and \u201cLegally Blonde.\u201d<\/p>\n
The play is performed by 21 talented young actors, from ages 12 to 17.\u00a0 The role of Elle Woods is played by KCT veteran Hannah Sloas, and Warner Huntington III will be performed by Jospeh Coram, who was last seen at KCT in \u201cDisney\u2019s The Little Mermaid, Jr.\u201d<\/p>\n
Many other memorable characters from the film appear in the play, such as Elle\u2019s friend Paulette, aerobics instructor Brooke Wyndham, and Elle\u2019s legal colleague Emmitt Forrest, each played by Abigayle DeBusk, Alex Lensgraf, and Ethan Turbyfill, respectively.<\/p>\n
Four actors are making their KCT debuts: Emily Bannow, Karlee Beets, Declan Brewer, and Anna Kimsey.<\/p>\n
The rest of the cast includes KCT veteran performers: Lydia Baxter, Brody Copeland, Campbell Ella, Isabelle Hannah, Celeste Paultre, Isabella Silvan, Jacob Sousley, Averi Richardson, Sean Sloas, Laura Snyder, Kennis Van Dyke, and Olivia Wilson.<\/p>\n
The play is directed by KCT Academy Director Dennis E. Perkins.\u00a0 Paul Jones serves as Musical Director.\u00a0 KCT is East Tennessee\u2019s leading producer of stage plays for children.<\/p>\n
Stage management duties are carried out by Lucas Cunic a junior at Christian Academy of Knoxville.\u00a0 Emma Campbell, a sophomore at Pellissippi State, is the staff\u2019s Production Manager.<\/p>\n
The show is sponsored by The Comcast Foundation, Clayton Family Foundation, and Home Federal Bank.\u00a0 Assistance was also provided by Bandit Lites and Prestige Cleaners.<\/p>\n
