Adapted from the award-winning book by Louis Sachar, this  play focuses on Stanley Yelnats, a troubled kid who is sent to a boys’ detention center, Camp Green Lake. The warden tells the boys that they must dig holes five feet wide by five feet deep in order to “build character.” But Stanley soon realizes that this isn’t the real reason they’re being subjected to such treatment. The boys are digging holes because the warden is looking for something, and Stanley will do his best to dig up the truth.
